Intentions

When I started this I really thought Id be on here most days and typing something...I had no idea that days would go by so fast... so will really try to do better at this...

Just to give a few updates... some of you had been praying for Bridgette and Stacy's family.. well they havent gone to church with us yet, but they have the salvation message along with directions to our church.. I will  keep following up and chatting with them and inviting them as well.. so please keep praying about that.... I dont want to "quench the spirit" when He leads us to witness or invite someone to church... so please pray He will use us and that we would obey His leading.. thx.. :)

My son... he wanted to go to a haunted house this year...so I thought we would try it.. we went last Friday  night and we where in the holding room and it was pitch black.. couldnt see anything..so guy with a creepy voice said.. "Welcome..soon they will be coming for you..."  then we heard a clowns horn..that was all it took for David...he wanted out of there and didnt want to go thru.. so we donated the $8.00 to the Cresson fire dept. which isnt bad.. David was upset with himself cause he thought he ruined it for me.. I said, no problem.. I was good.. well this Friday we are trying again but the difference is his best friend Mason is coming along with his dad, mom and brother.. now Jim, Mason's dad, is a big guy and David says he wont be scared cause he will be with us... so this should be really fun.. David and Mason..say they like scary things..but they really dont... lol... will update over the weekend how it went..

Time Flies By.......

I cant believe a whole week has gone by since I last posted in here.  My intention is to write everyday but then LIFE gets in the way.... We did however have a great week!  David spent the weekend at a friends house and went to J.B. Tree Farm... school was good... he also had an art day with grammy... they made a stone and decorated it for Halloween....

This Friday we are going to a corn maze ourself, and I have the weekend off so looking forward to sleeping in and not working at all...but when the pay check comes I will be wishing I had worked all of my hours... lol...

David and I had a chance to witness to 2 of our neighbors today!!  God is good...when you ask Him to use you, He puts those people in your path... so please be praying for Bridgette and her family and Stacy and her family...both seemed interested in coming to our church...

I know the Lord opened those doors so you know He must be working!!

Carl, my father-in-law, got us tickets to go see the Siberian Orchestra in Hershey on Nov. 13th... so excited about that... I have really great in laws...

Well I will leave this verse for you and give you the challenge to let God teach you and lead you in the path He wants you to be!!

Psalm 27:11
"Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies."

WOW...the weekend went by so fast.....  such a beautiful one.....went for a long walk in the woods on Saturday with David and Matthew and Alex... then had a great dinner at the Missions Conference dinner...  Sunday was great as well....Great messages and challenges both Sunday morning and Sunday night... I loved Sunday nights message...and am using it with my son and myself.....

1.... instruction  ( from God to us or parents to children)
2....promise   ( God tell us what He promises to do for us, we tell our children what we will do for them)
3....obedient ( we then need to obey God, EXACTLY what He says and our children need to obey us)
4.....supply  ( the Lord supplies the promise He made to us, and we take care of our children)
5....testing  ( we are then tested to see if we will take the next instruction and same with our children)

Then the cycle starts all over again...WE go thru this everyday of our Christian Life...
I so want to pass this... its a daily thing... and we can see where we are at, depending on our relationship with Christ....

So where are you at?????   If I look at myself...depending on which area the Lord is dealing with ...and there is many... I'm in different stages with the different situations...

So I want to keep obeying...keep passing the test....keep seeing His promise and watch how He supplies... and going thru each of these...helps us with Faith and Endurance cause we know by past experience that He doesn't fail us, nor leave us, nor forsake....

So glad I'm a child of the King...  thank you Lord for saving me!!

Romans 8:28... this verse is one of my favorites.....

Woot....Woot...its Saturday!!!

So glad its Saturday..... the weekend is always a time to relax, clean your house....although relax and clean your house usually don't go together...

David had Matt stay over night, so that has been fun... last weekend Mason stayed over night... so glad he has those 2 boys has friends...  Now Matt and Mason are as different as night and day...   David acts crazy with Matt and Mason is the crazier one when he and David get together.... but both are saved and godly parents... and that is all the more I could ask for in friends for David...

We are going to go walking in the woods today... let the dog and the boys run...  then I have to bake a cake for the Missions Dinner tonight... will give update on that later... Snyder's are doing their presentation...should be really good....
Lamentations 3:40

"Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord."

I challenge us to let the Lord direct our ways.... keep on the path that He has chosen....open our ears to what He wants us to do...

Last night missions conference message was on; asking the Lord for direction, permission in ALL decisions that we make.  How many things do we decide to do that we don't ask Him if this is what HE would like for us.

Especially those things which involve money!  We do what we want, what we think is good for us....and guess what???   Most times is not and then we have to "reap what we sow"

I so want to purpose in my heart to give the Lord TOTAL CONTROL IN EVERY AREA!!!!!  Why is this so hard at times...gggrrrr.....

Lets pray together for each other and our families....that we would do exactly what the Lord wants us to do in EVERY AREA!!

Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path."

Missions Conference, 2nd night

Well tonight's message was just as awesome as last nights... another challenge to myself to let the Lord work in my life so I can be used by him.

First it is the Lord that stirs our heart to do His will...
Second we need to have a willing heart to do His will...
Thirdly we will then have a wise heart to know His will...

The only way the Lord can stir our heart is if we are one of His children...

I challenge you if your not saved to accept His FREE GIFT of salvation... and make your heart available to Him today so He can then use you for His will....

David and I went for a walk around the neighbor hood, keeping in mind what the Lord has put upon my heart as to witnessing, we took 3 flyer's that tell about our church, Dry Run Independent Baptist Church, and salvation and set up to go to 3 homes.  Well none of those people where home, but God had a different plan on whom should get those flyer's.

We met a lady in her 30's out walking her dog, the dogs decided to get together first and then we started talking.  We gave her the flyer and invited her to church and she said "thanks, my friends and I where just talking about finding a church"...so please pray for her that they would come visit us!!

We then went to get the mail and we have a temporary mail lady for 2 days....so we gave her one and talked a few moments.

So we may not have given flyer's to whom we thought we originally would have, but we did give them out to who God had planned for us too....

Be open to see what He can use you for....

Working from home

I work out of my home doing  customer service for a company called N.E.W.

Talk about the best job ever!!

I sit in my Jammie's with a cup of coffee and talk to people about how to fix their TV or
remote controls... couple times you actually tell people to turn the TV and then a
picture comes on...

I use to work at a bank for 10 years, and really enjoyed it, but the Lord had different plans for me.  I left the bank in 1996 and taught typing in a Christian school in our area and it was great!  I got to talk about the Lord every day and help encourage kids to trust the Lord.

When the Lord gave me this job... I was like..why take me from a place I can encourage kids and pray with them, to sitting by myself at home..

Well the opportunity now is to pray for people every day that I would never meet otherwise.  I've been with the company 2 years and have prayed for tons of people.  I don't know what goes on in their lives, but I bet numerous kinds of people, situations, and burdens have I had the opportunity to pray for.  Only the Lord knows what has gone on in those homes and will answer according to His will.  Many times I have gotten to plant a seed or just praise the Lord with that customer.  Its been a blessing for me and I just LOVE my job!!

David...my son

For the longest time I prayed for a child and started thinking I wouldn't be able to have one.  I was 30 and still not pregnant.  We did some of the fertility things, but that wasn't for us.

I finally did get pregnant.  When the nurse told me I was pregnant I asked her if she was looking at my test, because I couldn't believe it.

So the Lord blessed us with a boy.. David Christopher....  He was born 8-30-99 at 3:33 am.  If you look up Jeremiah 33:3, or look on my blog page from the "Missions Conference"... that is the verse my mother and gram told me when they found out the time he was born.  I read it and knew that the Lord gave me a child and from that moment on was when the Lord started changing my heart and my relationship with him.

The greatest gift I can give my son is the Lord; to teach him about the Lord, His gift of salvation and to teach him and help encourage him to become a godly man.

What a very silly boy he is.... I wouldn't have it any other way!!

My Husband...Kevin

I met Kevin in 6th grade, that was 29 years ago.  I knew the moment I saw him that I was going to marry him.  Now of course that was 6th grade puppy love.  For 6 years we where best friends, once in a while "going together" but really good friends.

It wasn't until we graduated that we got together.  The summer of 1988....

We have had many good times and many trials, but thru them all we have stayed best friends.  I love him and want the best for him.  I pray for the day that we serve the Lord together!  That is the ultimate in this life is to have you and your husband serve the Lord together and then your children to follow!!  IT WILL HAPPEN...

Psalm 37:4
"Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."

I believe the desire I have for my family lines up with Gods desire for my family, so I need to delight myself in the Lord, following Him DAILY and it will come to pass.

Missions Conference

This week at church we have mission conference.  Tonight Dr. Creed preached on the verse,

Jeremiah 33:3  "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

He taught us that God has some really great things planned for us that we just have NO idea what they are.  We are missing out on them, cause we wont trust God to show us what He has planned for us, what He wants to use us for, and what He wants to do thru us.

So just a thought and a challenge.

Oct. 6, 2010

A friend of mine started blogging her weight loss and I thought that was a great idea!  I dont know if I will do that or not, kind of scary, but could really be the thing that gets me motivated.

I then started thinking why not do a blog about my life: my son and homeschooling, my work, our new dog, my husband, the things I pray about and how the Lord answers them, verses that touch me, my daily walk with the Lord...... this list could go on and on for ever!!  :)

I might be the only to read it, but that would be fine with me.
